The Mostyska-Forst route will be available again

From July 1, 2025, the piggyback railway connection between the Ukrainian Mostyska terminal in the Lviv region and the German Forst terminal will be restored. This route, which will reduce the time for delivering goods to the EU, will operate twice a week with an average travel time of about 20 hours. This is reported by Landlord.
The piggyback train will run between the Mostyska terminal in the Lviv region and the German Forst terminal, located near the Polish border. It is planned to involve up to 100 trailers for each trip, which will significantly expand the capabilities of Ukrainian exporters and importers.
“Contra-trailer transportation is an effective addition to our logistics infrastructure. It opens up new opportunities for business and increases the stability of cargo flows. We plan to develop this direction, because the market needs such solutions,” said Dmytro Kobzar, General Director of the Mostyska Terminal.
This route is part of the strategy for developing multimodal transportation and expanding transport corridors between Ukraine and the European Union. It will reduce dependence on road transportation, which often faces queues at the border and other logistical difficulties.
The Mostyska-Forst contra-trailer connection was already operating in January 2024, but was temporarily suspended in February due to technical and organizational issues. Now the route is being restored with improved logistics.
