On December 16, the government approved changes to the CMU resolution, extending the implementation period of the experimental project for electronic permits for international cargo road transport until December 31, 2021.
This year, Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii announced the launch of the experimental project for electronic permits for international cargo road transport through the e-service transport portal e-transport.gov.ua. During this time, the service has been used by thousands of carriers who have positively assessed its performance.
The experiment was initially planned to end on December 31 of this year. However, the pandemic and the introduction of quarantine measures in Ukraine led to delays in adopting the industry order for the permanent implementation of the electronic permit forms.
According to Vladyslav Kryklii, in 2021, the department also plans to develop a separate electronic platform for multimodal container transport. Additionally, within the framework of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), the Ministry of Infrastructure is developing a mechanism for exchanging e-format information about issued permits for international cargo transport and is separately working with the government of Kazakhstan on implementing electronic single-use permits for international cargo road transport.
In turn, we remind you that TVL specialists constantly monitor the situation, offering clients the most optimal routes and schedules for international road transport.
