International trade between China and Ukraine is increasing its pace and volume every year, and wartime is no exception, so the need for reliable and fast delivery of goods is growing, Novynarnya reports. Efficient logistics plays a key role for businesses that want to import goods from China, especially given the complexity of the route, timeframe, and choice of the optimal mode of transportation.
There are different options depending on the urgency of delivery and the type of cargo.
- Sea transportation is one of the most popular ways to transport goods over long distances. Sea freight is suitable for large volumes of cargo and has the lowest costs per kilogram. The main advantage of sea freight is its low cost and economy, but the delivery time can reach 30-40 days.
- Air transportation is an ideal option for fast delivery, especially for urgent or valuable goods. Air transportation allows you to deliver goods from China in 5-7 days, which significantly reduces the waiting time. Air transportation is recommended for small and medium-sized businesses that work with small batches of goods.
- Rail transportation is an effective solution for medium-sized cargo. The delivery time by rail is average between sea and air transportation. This mode of transportation allows you to reduce costs while maintaining sufficient delivery speed.
- Multimodal delivery can combine different types of transport: sea, rail, and road.
In the current environment, road transportation is the best option for delivering goods from China to the western regions of Ukraine through transit countries, which can complement other transportation options. Road transport is suitable for delivering relatively small consignments of goods and provides flexibility in choosing a route.
