New restrictions in rail logistics: what has changed

Ukrzaliznytsia has announced the introduction of a convention restricting the transportation of goods to Hungary. This decision came into force on March 4 and will be valid “until canceled” and applies to all cargoes for all recipients, Logist.FM reports.

According to the new convention, it is forbidden to accept wagons for transportation for the carrier CJSC MMV. The restriction also applies to wagons belonging to foreign railways, in particular:

  • Uzbek Railways JSC
  • Georgian Railways JSC
  • JSC “Estonian Railways”
  • Lithuanian railways
  • JSC “NC ”Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”
  • JSC “RUSSIAN RAILWAYS”
  • State Unitary Enterprise “Tajik Railways”
  • JSC “Latvian Railways”
  • Belarusian Railways
  • State Enterprise “Railways of Moldova”
  • State Enterprise “NC ”Kyrgyz Railways”
  • Management of “Turkmen Railways”
  • Azerbaijan Railways CJSC
  • CJSC “South Caucasian Railways”

The restriction is aimed at optimizing the operation of railway transport and ensuring the safety of transportation in the specified direction.
